DULUTH, MISSABE & IRON RANGE
Class  S-6  0-10-0  Nos. 90 to 93

Built in 1928 by Baldwin, these locomotives were the world's most powerful and heaviest steam switchers when constructed.  The DM&N S-6 Class 0-10-0's Nos. 90 to 93 had an awesome tractive power of 86,000 pounds and were equipped with tender boosters when built.  The tenders were massive 38 foot clear vision models.  Total weight of locomotive and tender was 538,700 pounds.  Prior to 1930, when the DM&N became the DM&IR, all tenders had their boosters removed.  Railway Classics will offer the DM&N S-6 factory finished in four variations and the DM&IR S-6 factory finished in four variations.
